Steel makes sense. It’s a great material for bicycles.
The new steel Jones frame set has the same geometry and handling as the titanium versions.
With an EBB and removable derailleur hanger it can be built up with one speed, a few, many or Rohloff
The fork has very good tire clearance.
The short rear end has good tire clearance for 29×2.55 tires on wide rims..and full fenders.
Rear wheel, 135mm and dishless. Front wheel, 135mm and dishless.
The 135mm front spacing with wide and equally spaced hub flanges make for a very stiff and strong front wheel.
Balanced, braced and beautiful. I love it.
The titanium truss fork is an option too.
I’m having fun with it.
