Jeff Jones' designs started out as custom bikes built one at a time. Over the years, he found that he wanted to focus more on specific designs that he had found to be superior, and started having frames made in larger quantities. This allowed him to focus more on design and tailoring each build for the customer, which he had found was the most important part of building a custom bike for a customer (once he had a really dialad frame to build on).
These days at Jones Bikes, we work with customers every day to build the bikes that will help them have the best rides. Each of these bikes starts with a conversation with the customer about what they need and want from a bicycle, and what their goals are in terms of where they'd like to go with their new bike. By combining our knowledge of how to make the most of these extremely versatile framesets and H-Bars, we tailor each build to suit the needs of each rider. We build bikes for the road, touring (on road and off), aggressive mountain biking, and everything in between; but really, we build bikes for riding. Jeff's goal with his bikes is to make the best riding bicycle possible, and that means that it needs to be great wherever it is. Jeff doesn't build bikes to just do one thing well; he builds bikes to be ridden—anywhere.
