These are the same thru axle (TA) bolts that are found on the Jones Plus SWB v2 and Jones Plus LWB v2 complete bicycles. They are simple, light, durable, and easy to use: just tighten or loosen it using a 6 mm hex wrench. These aluminum thru axles have a washer that is captured onto the axle which means it can rotate, but it can’t fall off or get lost. They are very durable and have a low-profile so there's nothing to catch on passing plants or bits of yarn.
SIZING:
Front: 175 mm x 15 mm, M15 x 1.50 thread pitch for the 150 mm x 15 mm hub spacing on our complete bicycle forks.* 81 grams.
Rear: 181 x 12 mm, M12 x 1.75 thread pitch for the 148 mm x 12 mm rear dropout spacing on our Jones complete bicycles and framesets. 51 grams.
*The Jones Spec. Front Thru Axle Bolt is compatible with the unicrown forks that are on Jones complete bicycles. It is not compatible with a Jones Truss fork or the Jones Unicrown fork that that comes with a Jones frame set. The hub spacing on all of our forks is 150 mm, the fork dropouts on the complete bikes are thicker than the forks included on our framesets and require a longer thru axle.
The Jones Spec. Rear Thru Axle Bolt is compatible with all Jones complete bicycles and framesets that have 148 mm x 12 mm hub spacing including Plus LWB HD/e frames.
