Jeff designed the Jones TA Bolts to be the perfect complement to the Jones Framesets: simple, light, and durable. It's easy to use: just tighten or loosen it using an hex wrench, 6 mm front and 5 mm rear. It's light: as much material has been removed as possible without sacrificing strength. It'll hold up: with no moving parts, and a super low-profile, there's nothing to catch on passing plants or bits of yarn.
The third-generation of the Jones TA Bolt has a stainless steel washer that is captured onto the axle which means it can rotate, but it can’t fall off or get lost. The new custom machined stainless steel washer is larger so that it is flush with the edge of the TA Bolt head and rear dropout. The weight of the new front TA is lighter than the previous version by 10 g. The weight of the rear is unchanged.
